AI Content Factory: How We Publish 3 Developer Articles Per Day With Zero Human Writers

Every article is 1,500-3,000 words, has proper meta tags, structured data, internal linking, and a unique AI-generated hero image. Every article is cross-posted to dev.to and Hashnode with canonical links pointing back to the main domain.

How the Pipeline Works

The system runs as a deterministic bash pipeline with narrow AI invocations at specific stages. This is not a single AI prompt generating articles — it is an 8-phase orchestration where each phase has a specific input and output.

Phase 1: Topic Selection and Writing

A Claude Code agent receives a topic from the backlog (maintained by a separate trend-scouting agent that runs weekly). The agent:

  1. Researches the topic using web search, gathering 5+ verifiable sources
  2. Determines the article type (comparison, tutorial, guide, review, or stack)
  3. Writes the article with SEO-optimized frontmatter
  4. Runs a self-QA loop, checking for broken links, missing metadata, factual consistency, and SEO issues
  5. Fixes any QA failures and re-checks (up to 10 attempts)

The output is a Markdown file saved to content/articles/{slug}.md.

Phase 2: Hero Image Generation

A Python script calls the Gemini API to generate a unique 1200x630 hero image based on the article title and keywords. The image uses consistent brand colors and typography, optimized for social sharing and OGP.

Phase 3-7: Distribution and Metrics

The remaining phases are pure bash — no AI needed:

  • Cross-posting: An Artisan command publishes to dev.to (REST API) and Hashnode (GraphQL) with canonical links
  • Metrics sync: GA4 traffic data and filesystem scans update the dashboard
  • Backlog update: The topic status moves from "writing" to "published"
  • Git commit and deploy: Changes are pushed to production via git push

Phase 8: Reporting

A final Claude invocation generates a Korean-language Telegram report summarizing what was published, any issues encountered, and the current pipeline status.

Each schedule is a launchd agent (macOS equivalent of cron) that invokes the pipeline script. The script handles git synchronization, error recovery, and watchdog alerting if a process hangs for over an hour.
